edited October 2013 in - Spain and Portugal
Hi, my wife and i are taking a cruise - transatlantic to San juan Virgin islands. With a stopover of few hours (7:00 - 22:00) in island of Madeira , Funchal. Will she need a visa for that port of call? She is of Mozambican Nationaliity, and already has visa for final destination . Thank you

  • As Madeira is part of Portugal your wife will require a Schengen Visa . This can be obtained from your nearest Portugeses Embassy in your country of residence. It would be shame to miss Madeira as its quite stunning.
  • Alethia is correct, your wife will need a visa to leave the ship, no matter how short the stopover is.
