Olu Deniz, Turkey

edited April 2014 in - Turkey
Hey, I'm going to Olu Deniz, Turkey in August and have been reading some reviews of the hotel i'll be stay at. Most of them mention euros but would rather use lira as its a better rate, can i still use lira? Will they all mostly accept it?

  • Turkish lira is the national currency of Turkey not the Euro and lira is used every where. Obviously Europeans, French, Germans etc prefer to use Euros but everyone else uses lira. Have a nice holiday.
  • I have found that when you go around the places for shopping and restaurants tend to give you euro prices, or even sterling depending on the resort. Just ask them what is your Turkish Lira price. they can t refuse to take their national currency..
