Visa for New Zealand

Hi, I plan to visit New Zealand and Australia this year and need to find out some things about visas.

Do South African citizens need a visa for New Zealand for a holiday? And if so, how does a South African get a visa for New Zealand?
If I get a visa for New Zealand do I need to get another one for Australia?
Also, can you please advise some things to do while on a two week vacation in New Zealand. Will be landing in Auckland, what is there to do around Auckland for a day?

Thanks,

Greg

  • For New Zealand, South African citizens must have a passport that is valid for at least one month beyond the period of intended stay in New Zealand, but no visa is required for South African visiting New Zealand for stays of up to three months.
For Australia, South African must apply for a visa to visit Australia. South Africans can apply for an Australian visa via www.eta.immi.gov.au . For more infomation follow this link.
