14 to 20 day itinerary for the UK with a 4 year old

Hi,

Given that:

1) We'll be travelling with a 4 year old;
2) In the summers;
3) Via rail.

Could anybody recommend an itinerary that sets us out from London and then, all the way back? We'd like to throw in a couple of theme parks that could be of interest to the little one.

Thanks!

    While in Windsor you can also see the Queens home at Windsor castle, the largest occupied castle in the world https://www.royalcollection.org.uk/visit/windsorcastle

    24 miles from Windsor you have the traditional seaside town of Southend on sea complete with the longest pier in the world. Standing for over a century it extends 2.158 kilometres (1.341 miles) into the Thames Estuary, and is a well loved and recognised symbol of Southend and the pleasures of the English seaside. On the pier you will find The Royal Pavilion which hosts a variety of events, concerts and exhibitions including music, theatre, art and photography.

    Adventure Island on Southend seafront is the perfect day out for all the family, and being a free admission ttraction this means you only pay if you want to play. With over 60 rides and attractions, there’s something for everybody to enjoy.

    Also in Southend is Sealife Adventure The themed Aquarium has over 40 fascinating displays, letting you come face to face with many marine creatures! Everyday there's a full programme of demonstrations, talks and promotions.http://www.visitsouthend.co.uk/

    There are literally hundreds of itineraries you could try travelling by rail from London the above is just a taster.
