Having travelled to many world-wide destinations we finally decided to give the Turquoise Coast a try. Five years earlier we had travelled to Belek on the Mediterrean Coast and were disapointed.
Friends had bought an apartment in Hisaronu and continued to nag us to give the area a try and suggested we had chosen the wrong part of Turkey. So in May 2008 we gave in, having received ranving reviews from everyone who had visited Turkey.
We stayed in Ovacik an area popular with Brits and home to many Apartments, Holiday Homes and Villas. It is a beautiful resort surrounded by mountain and just in land from the beautiful Blue Lagoon at Olu Deniz we completely fell in love with place and the local people so much so we bought our own apartment there and then.
Many owners are happy to rent out their properties to cover the running cost. Properties are generally built to a very high standard and have been lovingly furnished by the owners. This has to be the most cost effective way of holidaying incurring no under occupancy charges or surcharges.
Price charged is often one flat sum irrelvant of the amount of people staying in the property. In addition cut price airlnes fly into Dalaman airport from many destinations of the UK on a daily basis. It is possible for a family of four to have a one week hoiday from as little as £290 per week plus flights costing on average £260 total around £1000 - two weeks costing fractionally more
