Invitation responsibility - what is the risk?

edited November 2016 in Visa and Passport
Hi, I have also one more question. My friend's boyfriend is a Turkish citizen. Her father, EU citizen, invited her boyfriend for a visit. He came to their country but then he ran away and did not come back to his country. Her father invited him with an official invitation via the police. Now they are afraid her father will have some problems because of that or even that he could be arrested.

Is there really any risk for her father? He did not know he was planning something like that.

An invitation is not a guarantee that a person will not runaway. It is simply an invitation and your friends father is not responsible for the boyfriends behaviour.
