Advice please - want Italian passport, don't have birth certificate!

Can someone point me in the right direction please? I was born in Italy to Italian parents (now dead) but they registered my birth at the local church (now closed) but it seems they did not register my birth at the Comune (Napoli), so I do not have a birth certificate, and no birth certificate = no passport. Can I find help anywhere?

  • @Alhan
Your birth records should be held at the Diocesian Archive . You must send a letter to the office of the Archdiocese of Naples explaing all details, name of the Church etc
    Largo Donnaregina 22,
    80138 Napoli,
    Italy

    Phone: 081.557.41.11

The letter must be in Italian, in fact any communication should be in Italian.
  • Many thanks Alethia, I'll try them!
