Seven-stop over in Frankfurt - what to see and do?

edited September 2009 in - General Europe
Hi all
I'm flying to London with a 7-hour stopover in Frankfurt. Is that enough time for me to get out and see a bit of the city, and if so, what attractions are close enough to the airport for me to see?
I'd also like to have a good old German bratwurst and a pint of beer, can anyone recommend the name of a good restaurant somewhere?
Any advice or suggestions will be great.

There's a direct rail link from the airport into the central station in Frankfurt (Hauptbahnhof)...30 minutes away except that the central station is quite a way from the centre of town!

However, it is possible to buy a one day ticket for the train to the centre of town, so you could change to the S-Bahn and travel on.

Probably best to to get off at Hauptwache and stay in the area if you want to look at shops or walk towards the main (old) square: R
