Arriving at Brisbane Airpoirt - need info please!

edited December 2009 in Australasia
Hi everyone

I'm flying into Brisbane Airport next week to visit my family there. I've never arrived in a foreign country alone before and I'm concerned about getting a taxi/piblic transport. Is it expensive and easily accessible?

I was contemplating booking in advance so that I don't have to worry about finding myself transport to my family's residence in Tingalpa. Can anyone tell me the best way of gettiong there form the airport.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • hey stef

assuming you got there ok and all was good. just wanted to say for anyone in a similar situation - flying into any major airport in Australia or New Zealand, there will always be a selection of taxis and shuttles and buses from the airport to the city. buses are usually the cheapest, followed by shuttles, then taxis. most expensive is a rental car if you are confident about driving in a new place, and are staying for a while.
