There are several notable sites in Marrakech costing a mere 10Dh or €1 to enter. These are Palais la Bahia a former harem, Tombeaux Saadian which are ancient tombs and Medersa ben Youssef a former Islamic school; all are worth seeing.
The privately owned sites cost 30Dh too enter, these being Jardin Majorelle, world famous gardens, and Dar Si Said which is a museum of Moroccan arts and culture.
You must also see the speactacle of the main square, Jemaa el Fna, which is spectacular particulary in the evening.
Most of the sites mentioned are in the medina (old walled city) and can easily be accessed on foot although you need a taxi to get to Majorelle; even though it is not far it is tucked away such that one can easily get lost.
Unless you like the idea of being ripped-off, avoid using a guide.
The weather at the moment is cloudy with chance of rain in the next few days. Impossible to predict what will happen later in the month.
