Trains from kuala lumpur to singapore

edited January 2011 in - Singapore
How are trains from kualalumpur to singapore? Where can i get details? I am an Indian citizen and planning to visit malaysia and singapore for my honeymoon in november. I wish to take a train to singapore from malaysia.

Can you also suggest me, whether booking it online is possible or not? Also, is it safe to book online? I think, i need to book from KL-Sentral to Singapore. I will be having the singapore visa. Anything else that i need to take care of?

If you are planning to go to singapore from malaysia via train, u might want to check Malaysia's official train website - Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad

The journey via train is approx 7-8 hrs. Alternatively you can take a flight to singapore via low cost airline such as airasia, tigerair & firefly. We will be surprise coz some there have promotion which can go as low as MYR60 per way.

    Have a nice journey!

how about bus from singapore to malaysia?

Buses are divided to 2. The economical way or those executive coaches. For the economical way, the main bus station in Malaysia to Singapore will be at Terminal Bus Sepadu Bandar Tasik Selatan. U can check out the their official website

For the executive coaches you could try Aeroline. The coaches will depart from Singapore Harbour Front & stop at Corus hotel Kuala Lumpur. Btw, Corus hotel is just opposite Petronas Twin Towers.

Unless too late ? - the KTM service Malaysia/Singapore is shut down. Bus all the way is a great option. Safe and cheap. Alternatively go by train from KL to Johor Bahru and by bus from JB to Singapore.

I don't think there is a train anymore, not sure. There are really really cheap flights that get you there faster. Most people take the budget airlines or the coaches. Coaches take about 5 hours if I remember right, and are much cheaper. They're comfortable so not a problem. I've done both but not trains
