Students warned against visiting Mexico on Spring Break

edited March 2011 in - USA
Universities across North America are warning students against travelling to Mexico on Spring Break. Safety concerns arising from cartel violence and drug wars in several towns on the Mexico/Texas border, especially Ciudad Juarez, have led to university authorities urging students to find alternative destinations for their Spring Break holidays. Even though most of the cartel and drug-related violence is occurring in the north of Mexico, near the Texas border, it seems as though safety concerns will result in many college students opting for a domestic Spring Break this year.
