France bans burqas and niqabs!

edited April 2011 in - France
Hello Everyone

The French government's ban on burqas and niqabs starts today (April 11). The penalty for wearing these garments
in public is a fine of 150 Euros.

How are Muslim travellers going to respond to this? Should they boycott France?

I see the law still allows for hijabs and chadors to be worn, but is this enough?

Well plenty of people wearing burqas in UK and Germany so all the shopping that would have been done in Paris will occur in London and Frankfurt
