theme parks in california

edited April 2011 in - - California
What are the best theme parks in California? I'm going to Los Angeles this year and I want to go to one or two, but don't know what's in the area. How expensive are they? I know everyone goes to Disneyland, but is it worth it or is it overrated?

Disneyland is cool, but wicked expensive. Try to get discount tickets somewhere, otherwise it's hard to budget for.

Seth is right, Disneyland is very expensive, at $76 for adults and $68 for children. It's a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see for most people though, and I can tell you you'll regret skipping it.

There are a few other good theme parks in California as well though, depending on what you're looking for. Are you travelling with children? Which would you prefer: thrill rides or movie themes? Here's a blog article with a quick round-up of some great theme parks in the LA area.
