Mountain climbing in Washington state
I'm trying to plan a mountain-climbing trip and was thinking of the Cascades in Washington, but I've hear that Mount Rainier can be pretty tough. I'm a pretty skilled and experienced climber, how tough is the mountain really? And if it's really not wise to attempt as an amateur, what other climbing routes are there and what are they like? When is the very best time, season-wise, to climb the Cascades? And if I'm going to be in the area, what are some other things of interest to see/do?
