Visiting mosques in Cairo

arranging a trip for elderly parents,they want to visit the mosques and possible go across to madina. not aware of how to arrange or if can get escorted trips. please help

    I am Confused, you speak about Cairo in Egypt, and Madina in Saudia Arabia....About Mosques in Cairo think you can do it on your own, or contact a travel agency for itineraries and quotes for a Islamic Cairo Trips.

Ibn Tulun Mosque, sultan Hassan Mosque and Madrassa, Al-Refa’I Mosque, Al-Azhar Mosque, Amr Ibn el-Aas Mosque, Mohammad Ali Mosque, Sueliman Pasha Mosque, Hussein Mosque, Hakim Mosque and Sayeda Neinab Mosque, I hope your parents would love to visit these mosques.

    hi hana, Egypt has the most famous mosques of different ages starting from The Mosque of Amr Ibn El Aas which is considered the oldest mosque built in the arab world, this mosque doesn'r keep the oldest structure due to the renovations , then visit Ahmed Ibn Tulun Mosque with its unique minaret. from the top of it, you can see a panorama view of all Cairo, Sultan Hassan Mosque & Madrasa which contains four sections for learning the four sects of Islam. then visit El Refai Mosque contains the Mausoleum of the royal family. Al Azhar Mosque which is considered the largest University in the Arab Countries, during the way in the islamic area, have a look to the gates of Cairo & finally visit The Mosque of Al Huessein & Khan el Khalili.
