Marriage to tunisian

edited April 2011 in - Tunisia
Hi everyone, i have been seeing my tunisian boyfriend for 1 year now and we are planning to marry next year. I live in Northern Ireland and need to know what papers we will both need to proceed with this.
I am planning to go for two weeks at the end of August to visit the embassy, so i would be gratefull for all the advise.

Raquel mabrouk! I'm not sure I understand if you are coming to Tunisia at the end of August and if so which embassy are you visiting? It is still Ramadan with short hours and not a good time to get any documentation here. But it's your fiance who will need his dox from here - you need yours from Ireland.

There is an excellent forum that contains much information about marriage to Tunisians and I suggest you research there. However these are basic you will need:

Full birth certificate not older than 21 days prior to the marriage
If you have been married before - original certificate
If you have been divorced - original decree nisi
    Certificate of No Impediment (CONI)

    Your fiance will need

    Carte d'identitie
    Birth certificate certified

All your dox will need to be translated and certified into Arabic/French
