Holidays in Kerala can be fun with trekking. Multi-day hiking trips through rural and rugged territory are referred to as trekking. Trekkers can travel through regions of the world by trekking. One can make trekking more interesting by combining other outdoor sports like rock climbing or backpacking. Trekking through beautiful areas can give one a blissful experience taking advantage of the incredible scenery around. Hence Kerala is one of the best places for trekking.

In Kerala trekking can be safe and enjoyable due to good trails with gentle slopes and also with lot of wildlife watching, site- seeing and beautiful mountains and valleys around. Trekking enthusiasts can look forward to a lot of thrill with this adventure sport. It offers a lot of scope for exploring the beauty of the lofty mountains and shimmering waterfalls. Some of the most beautiful places in Kerala that offer trekking are Agasthyarkoodam, Chembra peak, Pythal mala, Thenmala and Munnar. Periyar also offers excellent trekking program.

One can experience the majestic jungle and gather memories of a lifetime by trekking in the Periyar tiger reserve. Munnar offers altitudes of over 7000 feet and unique experience of the shoal grassland eco systems. One can have a glimpse of the pristine stretch of primordial rainforest of the Western Ghats at the Silent Valley National Park in Palakkad district of Kerala. One comes across different eco systems, tribal populations, deep rain forests and places unreachable on wheels during a trek in Kerala. It also gives the trekkers a taste of the authentic culture and essence of the land and an experience of a lifetime.

  • I would rather try Kasturi trek in the Sikkim Himalaya.
  • Kerala is blessed with the mighty hills of Western Ghats at the east, the lush green rainforest, the scenic backwaters and the spectacular beaches on the western part on the state. With such varied lanscape Kerala offers a wide variety of activities to the adventure entusiast. Get off the beaten tracks to explore the real beauty of Kerala

The best places for the purpose of biking is the Padagiri Peak, an actual acclaimed area for all the trekkers. Situated at an adequate ambit of 53 km. from the boondocks of Palakkad, the airy hills of Nelliampathy bundle over the Western Ghats and are interspersed with the amazing plantations of cardamom, orange, coffee and tea.
