Visas for train stopover in Brussels

We plan to travel by train from London to Amsterdam via Brussels. We have 45 minutes in Brussels. One of us has a New Zealand passport, the other one a South African passport. I think the NZ passport needs no visa for Belgium. What about the SA passport?

  • South Africans require a Schengen Visa to get into the Netherlands. If you have that visa for your visit to Amsterdam than Belgium will be no problem - the same visa is required for both countries. Schengen Visas are automatically multi-entry and you can move within the territory, across country borders.
