edited September 2015 in - Turkey
pl suggest short tour of 5 to 6 days for istanbul and Cappadocia.
also suggest other place if it can fit in my days

  • also is it good to go around 12 th dec to 17 dec . as winters would be there can we able to see all places .
  • December is winter in Turkey and outside of the main tourist season. The most popular months to visit are July to September. The coastal resorts will mostly be closed in December and Cappadocia will be very cold, but Istanbul really can be visited at any time of year. Ella is correct about winter in Turkey.

Cappadocia weather during the winter months is quite unpredictable. Snow can fall from November making it difficult walking in this region. The weather is below freezing and the days are short , it is dark by 4pm. Some trips can be cancelled at the last minute due to bad weather.

The majority of Capodocia's sites are outside such as Goreme and Zelve open air museums, the fairy chimneys at Pasabag, Ihlara Valley and many more.

Also flight to Cappodocia can be cancelled due to heavy snowfalls or just bad weather.

Istanbul will be fabulous all year around, hotel prices are cheaper in winter and there are fewer tourists. Starting from December till March temperatures are around 5-10' C. Although its not common for Istanbul, be prepared for (-) degrees C on some days. Snow and strong winds negatively affect city transportation especially ferries

Trips to Gallipoli and Troy are available all year round from Istanbul , so you need to have suitable clothing temperatures are approximately the same as Istanbul and it could rain.

Wherever you choose to go in Turkey you will have a warm welcome despite the weather.
